About 'The Peers'

The Peers of  Harmony are a North East based men's chorus, we perform through out the region, promoting the enjoyment of close harmony singing and the love of a good song. Formed in September 2007 as a result of a meeting of seven of the original Roker Peers of Harmony, who were national champions in 1982. The club is a member the British Association of Barbershop Singers, a registered charity with over 60 registered clubs and 2200 members.

Join in!

We currently have 30 plus singers aged 18 and over from the North East and beyond and from all walks of life. You don't need experience or the ability to read music, most of us had no formal training before joining the club. But with a fair amount of enjoyable hard work, very good vocal coaches & teaching techniques we have learned to sing together well. Apart from all the fun of entertaining and singing the club also enjoys a fantastic social life, from annual barbeques & riverboat trips to organized club meals out. We are always on the look out for new members, so If you would like to learn how to sing or would like to improve your singing voice, why not come along to any of our rehearsal nights? We practice every Tuesday evening at East Boldon Methodist Church. Click here for more details.
